Lakeland

My dad is in the UK on business, and was able to fly out a couple of days early to take me to the Lake District for the weekend. We had an amazing time -- catching up, hiking, driving, and listening to Elgar's cello concerto over and over. Here are some photographic highlights:

We arrived Friday afternoon and climbed Loughrigg Fell for the view of Lake Windermere:

On the second day we decided to climb Helvellyn, one of Cumbria's highest peaks. The lake is called Red Tarn, with flat-topped Helvellyn on the left:
