The last two weeks of the trip were brilliant, but very busy, which explains my lack of updates. We helped to run a kids' club and spent lots of time getting to know the wonderful SMACC people through meals, one-to-ones, and Bible studies.
Some of the lighter moments included: ever-eventful minibus journeys, the Jonah song, durian in my toothpaste, confetti on Sam's ceiling fan, stealing Michael's hat, reading in the coffee shop in Bangsar, giggling with Bryony when we were both too tired to think straight, getting soaked in a tropical downpour on the way back from Jeletek, and watching Jiggles learn to fly...

that sounds awesome! I'm so glad you had such a great time. can't wait to hear all about it at Christmas. hope your readjustment back to the UK goes smoothly and that you get your thesis done without too much stress. I love you.

the flags are mostly down again now after Merdeka Day. I think a torrential downpour that afternoon put a bit of a damper on the celebrations!
Hopefully you'll be able to come out again for next year's big 50th anniversary, and hopefully I will be too :) Should be amazing!

Whatever happened to Michael Dormandy's hat?!
Michael's hat was stolen several times and photographed in very strange places: going up an escalator, hanging from a flag pole, perched in a palm tree, etc. Once Mark even gave the announcements for a Sunday service whilst wearing The Hat.
