Today it rained and there was a full double rainbow in front of the house. Before the rain I went for a walk and the air was warm, so warm that I left my coat behind. Worked on my thesis for a while. Later made a pumpkin pie and finished The Chosen by Chaim Potok.
It's hard to believe I was in England just over a week ago. I still have English mud on my shoes. :-)

I saw that double rainbow too. It gleamed over the waterlogged and bare forests while I drove through McLean (trying to maintain the speed limit, but it was tough while sort-of watching a rainbow!).
Whoever writes guidebooks for the DC area should advise their readers, "And if you're lucky, you may catch one of the area's elusive November rainbows."
